Elevate your smile appeal and confidence with cosmetic dentistry

Your smile is unique. There is no other smile quite like yours. So, it stands to reason that no two smile makeovers, full mouth reconstructions, or cosmetic treatment plans are the same.

We have numerous services that fall under the category of “cosmetic” or “elective” dentistry. The services that we at Oroville Dentistry recommend for you depend on what Dr. Daniel Appel finds during an evaluation at our practice, which serves the greater Oroville and surrounding communities. He also works closely with you to assess your personal preferences and goals for treatment.

Makeover your look, confidence in two visits!

During the first visit to our Oroville practice, Dr. Appel will examine your teeth, gums, and mouth. What he can’t “see” with his eyes alone, he can pinpoint using the latest diagnostic tools such as safe, comfortable, and precision digital x-rays. If you have conditions, such as active gum disease or untreated tooth decay, we must resolve those problems before moving forward with cosmetic treatments. These treatments may also be in place of or in addition to cosmetic procedures. Our restorative treatments, such as fillings and crowns, are designed so that that they, too, are pleasing to the eye and look like natural and healthy tooth structure.

Be prepared to answer questions about your smile, what you dislike about it, and what you would rather see looking back at you in the mirror. Impressions of your mouth will be taken. We use these impressions to make models or simulations of your smile out of wax and stone. You will return to our practice to view these models during a second appointment. If you like what you see, we can move forward with treatment. We can also discuss refinements to these models. So, you are 100% satisfied with the treatment plan.

Just a few of the ways that we can boost your smile appeal (and confidence along with it) include:

  • Teeth bleaching – Professional whitening trays effectively, safely, and comfortably remove stains for a healthier, more vibrant-looking smile. These custom trays are even an appropriate option for patients with a history of sensitive teeth.
  • Veneers – Direct veneers, also known as dental bonding, are made from tooth-like materials such as composite resin. The resin is applied and shaped directly to the teeth to cover up a range of cosmetic imperfections, from chipped teeth to minor gaps between teeth and irregularities in a tooth’s size, shape, or surface. Indirect veneers can be used to disguise many of the same concerns; only they are made from porcelain. These thin layers of stain-resistant porcelain are then applied during a second visit and bonded to the tooth’s natural, prepared, and slightly reduced surface.
  • Restorations – As mentioned, we also offer many restorative dentistry options that are strong and long-lasting and replicate the appearance of natural teeth seamlessly. We may rebuild a portion of a tooth with white or composite fillings and porcelain crowns or replace the entire damaged tooth with dental implants or conventional bridges and dentures.
